From the 4-H shoot programs to the Girl Scouts - Brevard Archers has been there to promote our sport of archery; donating targets and equipment, teaching safety lessons along with programs designed to instruct and encourage the young minds of our youth.
Our Officers, Instructors and Members
Brevard Archers members includes men and women of all ages and professions. Many of our members travel around the state and country to attend archery events. We also have hunters who like to keep their archery skills intact by shooting our 3-D rounds between hunting seasons.
Our instructors are seasoned archers capable of teaching levels from beginners to the advanced. All combined, they have countless years of experience.
In 1981 about a half dozen archers began meeting at each others homes to shoot and talk archery. Among them the late Fred Bremen was Brevard Archers founding member. The club was originally called Palm Bay Archers based in Palm Bay; the club grew quickly and soon outgrew the back yards of the fledgling membership.
An agreement was reached with Wickham Park to reestablish the archery range originally built by Nova Archers.
The members cut the field lanes were cut and installed target butts, bow racks and benchs. Over the years the practice range and 3D range were built. The club now regularly hosts archery competitions and beginner classes thanks to Fred and all of the dedicated archers who followed him.
